Jeffersontown was first settled in 1794 as a trading-station for pioneers heading to the Falls of the Ohio. Many influential families called the area their own, including the Bruners and Oldhams. History and Architecture

Annexed by Louisville in 1827 when it was still known as “Uptown,” NuLu has been the site of community development for decades. In 1832, it was the home of the Woodland Gardens, an entertainment hub popular amongst German immigrants. Shively, KY is home rule-class city bordering the west-end of Louisville, KY. This city is considered a suburb of Louisville, due to its inclusion within the Louisville Metro Government. Shively has a deep connection with the City of Louisville dating all the way back to the founding in 1778.
